Anybody dyno test stock 428i or 328i

Hi guys,
Did remap, catless downpipe , centre pipe and dyno test. Weather was hot about 32C. Results were disappointing, got only 241hp at the wheels and 365nm of torque. I didn't dyno it stock that was my mistake.

Would like to know if anybody dyno test stock 428i or 328i?

Saw this video a stock 328i has 240hp at the wheels!

Does this mean I gain only 1hp after all the mods? This can't be!

its 283hp at the crank, stock is 245. so probably quite weak remap, or tuner missed some maps

Tuner told me my wheels and brakes are heavy so that's why the hp is reduce.
My wheels are 20x8.5 and 20x10, 245/35 & 275/30. Brakes are m-performance.
I don't know but he could be right.

And another thing the electronic gauge of the power shows 170hp at 7000rpm. It use to show 240hp max before the remap. Anybody know why? It should be showing more not less.

Here are my graphs from 2013 328i Stock.

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...6&postcount=65

224hp/249 ft-lb at wheels on Dynojet.

Regarding the claim that your wheels and brakes are heavier that doesn't seem to make sense. My 328i is 3300lbs and RWD. The same day on the same dyno there was a 2014 AWD 328i wagon, which weighs 3700 lbs. He pulled 224hp / 234 ft-lb. I have hard time believing your wheels and brakes add up to 400lbs extra.

That said, it's meaningless to compare your numbers to other cars you found on the Internet. You need a stock baseline of your car on the same dyno. That's the only meaningful comparison to evaluate effect of the mods.

Tks for the reply bateau
Well at least I gain around 16hp and 100nm plus of torque. That's reasonable I guess.
U might be right about the wheels n brakes. Maybe is just an excuse the tuner gave.
I guess is too late to dyno my car stock. My bad
May I ask what mods have u done to your beast?

Comparing your numbers to another car on a different dyno will not be helpful

Unfortunately the only way to really know is to go back to stock and do a baseline dyno

Not sure what kind of remap you used, but if it has datalogging capability you can check your boost levels and timing ignition

your tuner dacalibrated relative filling to Nm tables and its not needed at all this shows that tuner don't know what he's doing and probably tune is crap.. check actual boost levels with ISTA , WOT 3rd or 4rd gear.

The wheel weight comment has to follow with affect of rotational mass not actual weight of car.

hi guys,
tks for all your replies. the car is back in the workshop. apparently the tuner called me last night and said it might be a boost lick. so his going to check. i forgot to mention that i also install a dv(diverter valve) and that could be faulty.

Just when for dyno again and got 250hp at the wheels. That's about 300hp at the crank. Apparently one of the hose to the intercooler was loose. The remap was not too aggressive to play it safe. Only 1.3bar on the boost. Stock was 1.1bar. Now I'm satisfied

The weight would show up in trap speed..but I dont think it'd show up on a dyno.

Nice numbers...pretty comparable to mine

Interesting how the speedometer in the red 3 series never moved in the video! He ran the car (past) redline too...

250.50whp, 371.34nm torque. tempareture 33.11C, humidity 34%

this is after remap, diverted valve, catless downpipe, center pipe 3 inches and muffler. tuner said his remap is not too aggresive just to play it safe. i only gain around est. 20whp, u guys think i should of gotten more hp?
next will change the intercooler then im done with the mods. tuner said will get 5-7hp more. hope is true. gonna hv to dyno again.

Piggy Backs claim to give you more HP and TRQ. I would check the tune man. Looks the AFR's, timing, Boost. If you can post a graph that would be nice. 20WHP is weak especially with all your upgrades, you should be close to 270-280 mark if not more.
