M sport brakes

So a few early observations. The 403 wheels seem to have changed. If you look at the image, the wheel now has a channel running around the wheel, behind the spokes. I'm sure my old wheels didn't have this as it makes it a pig to clean. Wonder why they've changed it??

Also, I didn't spec the m sport plus pack so was expecting basic brake caliipers. The front seem to be the uprated brakes (without the gloss blue and decal finish). Again, I'm sure my 330 had fairly standard looking calipers?

Lastly, pic attached after I applied life shine yesterday. Should be ready for a Manchester winter now!

Yes, my wheel is definitely different to yours. Look where the spoke meets the rim, I can put my finger behind mine in a channel that goes all the way round. whereas yours has no gap?

Well spotted, the alloy does look different. They've removed the fillets on the back of the spokes.

What car have you got? I can't see it when viewing on the app.

No idea! Gonna be a pain in the arse to clean. Unless it's a modification to prevent the corrosion that plagues these wheels?

That channel is the same as my 442's, I wonder if the older 442's were also different?

Maybe it's an air resistance thing?

Did NOBODY spec standard brakes on their M sport? (Am I the only one )

I think it must be something to do with air resistance or air flow in and around the wheels.

Those are 4 pot fixed front caliper's and floating caliper's at the rear, which I'm assuming come as standard on the 335D now. The fronts performance are no different to that of the blue M Sport 4 pot caliper.

Ok I think the 335i / 340i had the grey brembo front brakes. Must of added that to the 335d. Power upgrade coming for 335d's?

No, 335d's have always had the 4 pot brembo front calipers! You just don't see many without the blue brake upgrade!
