Anybody had their 2er painted?

I'm really not super happy with any of the M240i color options, and I wish there were more. I'm really wanting a dark kind of midnight blue, but one that's metallic and reflective so that it pops and shines with bright blue lines. Kind of like the BMW individual paint that you can get on the M3.

So can anyone give any advice about paint jobs? Anyone had one done? Do they normally look as good as factory paint? How much weight do they add?

Don't even consider repainting a new car.

Vinyl wrap I don't know the pros and cons.

Painting the car will negatively affect resale value.

WTF, brah? Here's what you do, since I seem to know more about you than my gf..

1) Purchase your M240i in BSM (since you admit Black is the best)
2) Wrap it in a Silver Metallic or similar Colour of choice that's easy to maintain and "rinse" as needed to keep looking clean. (since you said you love how easy and good silver can look on a daily driver)
3) Save your money on Opticoat, Xpel etc.
4) Get the desired silver look you're after, or white, or whatever.. knowing in 5 years you can peel the wrap off and have a whole new shiny Black car underneath that's never been swirled, scuffed etc.

Winning situation if you ask me. It fits all of your needs, wants and keeps your resale value at the high end.

Check out autoflex liquid wrap. I've seen it in person and it looks like paint, looks much better than a vinyl wrap at almost half the cost. When you're bored of it you can peel it right off. It's a very new product and sounds too good to be true but like I said I've seen it in person and it definitely looks like paint. Does not compare to plastidip, this is a professional grade product applied in a paint booth.

$800? I thought wraps were $3-4K. What product did you use?
