Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymm 2 RFT vs non RFT

So my new F32 came with a set of these on 442M's, and was wondering what the prevailing opinion of them was since I've only really seen reviews of the non-RFT version. I've only done 100 miles in them so far but they seem to perform well enough, although I'm finding the ride is a little firm so have been toying with the idea of swapping them out for non-RFTs.

From what I've read switching the old Potenza RFT's out for non-RFT's resulted in a very noticeable improvement in ride quality as well as handling performance, however it seems the F1's also perform better than the Potenzas in this regard which leaves me wondering whether the change would still be worth it.

Has anyone had any experience with this tyre and/or compared it with with non-RFT's on the same car?

personally I would not bother changing from GY Eagle F1 A2 runflats to non run flat tyres (Michelin pilot Super sports - MPSS) appear to be the non RF tyre of choice.

however if you do, and your GT F1 A2 are 19" runflats and you want to sell them, I'm looking for a pair of fronts

Has your got adaptive dampers? If so I think the change to no RF's is less noticeable. I'm on Goodyears and they are the best RF's by a long way.

My Goodyear RFT s on 19's are much better than the Bridgestones I had on my previous car which had 18's. Feel more comfortable although the tyres are lower profile.

No adaptive dampers no, just standard M sport suspension. I figured the Goodyears would be better than most other run flats and at £180 a corner for a set of MPSS I guess it's probably not worth the upgrade. Disappointing that dealers won't let you spec standard tyres when ordering though...

Yes the choice would be nice. Strangely BMW will let you choose if specing a new Mini.

You can spec non-RFTs, or at least you could the last time I looked, but only on 18" 398s. MPSS was a factory option.

Maybe it's been withdrawn ?

if you sold them to me for £80 a corner then the MPSS would only cost you £100 a corner

I have factory 398 18" which come with MPSS, you can still order and they have much less tyre noise than my previous 19" RFT Bridgestones and comically more grip.
