335i DCT Remap

I know there's lots of info on the net about remaps, but I can't really find much of people first hand experience of owning a tuned 335i with DCT.

I have one and I'm thinking about getting it remapped, but I've read a few things about the DCT can't handle the all the extra torque without slipping.

Anyone on here have a tuned 335i with DCT that can tell me what it's like?

Thanks

My suggestion would be a custom tune via MHD flash by BQ Tuning provided you have the supporting mods in place already. You should be fine until you reach the 400whp/450wtq level. That's when I started to have problems that the custom flash addressed nicely. I'm now at 500whp and 550wtq with no issues with slippage whatsoever.

What mods should I do before a remap then?

Im in the UK so I would probably use Evolve or DMS for a remap.

How does it drive tuned? Do you use auto or manual mode mainly? Is it night and day different from stock?

Mods depend on what power level you're hoping to achieve. 30-40 extra HP can be tune only, 100 extra would be downpipes, intake, intercooler, and upgraded chargepipe but I'm not sure what the MOT allows.

You can use anyone you want for tuning. E-tuning allows you access to tuning by anyone in the world. An android device, DCAN and OTG cable, and MHD app allows you to do it yourself if desired.

My car drives fantastic. I use sport/manual mode exclusively and the power is a whole different universe from what stock was.
