2ABC and 3100 after bov install, cant clear codes..
Hey guys just installed my cp and synapse bov. Went for a few drives and it seemed to pull fine, perhaps felt slightly down on power, not much though. On about the 6th or 7th pull i got half engine and 2abc and 3100 codes. I checked all my connections and everything seems to be fine. I cant even clear the codes with mhd, they wont go away so im assuming somthing is damaged.
The sensor that you have to relocate onto the cp is extremely tight and if the wires arent long enough for it to sit comfortably in the new position, if this sensor wasnt connected properly would ut trigger these codes ? Any idea are welcome. Thanks. |

Righto pretty sure its that sensor. I tweaked it and pushed it in further and the codes cleared.
Went for a drive hit wot and the limp returned. Opened the hood and the sensor had popped out. The clip on the back of the sensor is broken and the wires are extremely tight, what can i do other than buying a new sensor with a working clip to rectify the tightness and tension on thise wires to stop it happebing again? |

What cp did u get. Did you put the sensor in with the plug facing the wrong way may explain the tight wires. I assume the plug to the sensor is coming out and not the actual sensor

Just the plug, im certain its the plug now just dont know how ill sort out the tension...
Its a stett cp. Thats a good suggestion about what way the plug is facing but i dont think so, its facing downward, the same direction as it was facing stock. I could try and switch it though it might work. Last edited by MJ80.; 09-02-2016 at 05:21 AM.. |

Solved, was the plug falling out, got quoted 500 bucks for new tmap lawl, so taped the shit out of it used some good heat tape, moved the cp around and got it closer to take the tension off the wires, just a bit of wriggling. Its all good now with the tape strapped over it so it cant come out.

I had a similar issue. I was getting 2ABC and 3100 after a pull. I was able to clear it. It would continue to randomly come back until eventually I could not clear it. Ended up having to get a new sensor.
