iDrive 5 - Email

Just picked up my new motor and really like the new iDrive GUI. However, one thing i can't find is the old "office" option which allowed you to communicate with your phone to get emails without having to go via the connected drive website.

Anyone else noticed this or am i missing something? Ive managed to get the calendar to sync with no problems but can't for the life of me sync emails.

Is setting up via the connected drive website the only way now (i use an iPhone).

No I didn't spec it as I thought the pro nav gave office functionality. Is this my problem? At least it can be coded!

Slightly different question - is there a USB socket under the 1-8 memory buttons? It seems it's move from the armrest on the X5.

I thought it was EBT that gave the Office functionality, at least I think it used to be.

I didn't spec it either knowing it can be coded (a job for tomorrow!!) assume its the same instructions to follow in the 1 as for the 3/4....?

Needs coding as BMW don't give anything for free, even with ProNav!

I found emails too much effort to get each time, even with EBT coded. Texts are great mind & you can code so the whole text shows / reads out

Only if you spec extended Bluetooth/wireless charging. There's also a USB port under the central armrest, by all accounts.

Here's what it looks like:

Thanks... so that tends to suggest the carpal will NOT be wireless then!
