F30 320d Exhaust options...
So now my car is remapped and really has some go in it. I want to look in to getting an exhaust kit that makes it sound a bit better and a bit louder.
While I am waiting for these plug & play headlights to arrive I wanna use ths as my next project for the car. As other than them lights, I am thinking of a carbon interior then I am pretty much done. I am still an F30 newbie in compared to you guys so please bare with me, any help is much appreciated. But what are my options? 1. Get a local performance garage to make me a system? 2. What is ActiveSound and is this an option for my 2014 320d? 3. Is there anything that can be done to my current system to add what I want? 4. Is there any other options for me? Thanks in advance, Liam |

Doubt you'll ever get 320d to sound nice, I'd put the cash towards sorting the handling, at the least some springs or if your feeling flush some coilovers. Those bc ones mentioned in another thread can be bought for £700 and offer full adjustment. Could make the corner really nicely

I have been looking on YouTube and Facebook pages and there are some really nice sounding 320d's.
But they all seem to be made by third party companies and most seem to be quad exhaust tips. Might call around some local guys and see if I can get any info. |

I think the only way to get a decent sound from a 320d will be a custom exhaust system! Sign in to Facebook to view this video: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00039413563048 There seems to be a few options with videos on YouTube. |

Have you spoke to a dealer regarding cost/fitting? |

I went through all this and didn't bother in the end, I just changed the tips which made it look exactly like the M Performance Tips except without the M logo on my previous E93 320D, I also added a Forge DV, you'll never get a decent exhaust sound because the sound of the diesel engine will always over power the exhaust note.

It can be done clearly: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...60&postcount=6 It's just obviously a rare/custom job to do. |

I know someone on E90Post did do some investigative work into this a couple of years ago and installed an exhaust that sounded half decent, if you can be bothered search that forum and you should find the thread |
