12.7 in the 1/4? Not bad....

Seems like a handling beast as well.

actually edmunds is the guys that actually do 0 60 from stop. I read it somewhere here that the other guys usually post their times from a roll, making it inaccurate. i'll try to look up the article

After seeing the M3 slalom speed (so much faster than the 335i), I spent a bunch of time looking at other cars in Edmunds yesterday. Is it the fastest slalom speed of any car they've tested? I couldn't find a faster one. GT-R tested a little bit slower. The 135i was way up there, too: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=29

I think they mention it in the video..."the fastest slalom speed of any mass produced vehicle ever tested"...or something like that. Skidpad is very impressive too. If I had an extra 10g's lying around I might be driving one.

The M3 is like a $60k engine and chassis... where as the S5 is a $55k total package. (Although, with BMW's free maintenance they'd be about even.)

I don't know... maybe my right foot would get the better of me and make me choose a M3, but after sitting in an S5 (and driving an A5), I don't think I could go for a M3. The interior of the S5 is the nicest interior of any car under $100k IMO, and the sport seats are incredible... it's so perfect! Pictures don't do it justice. The S5 has a strong presence about it... something you don't get from pictures or video, it's weird.

I don't know... both cars are beautiful, and the M3 is a monster, but for $55k I'd take a S5 in a second. If I wanted the fastest car I could afford I'd spend another $15k on a GTR, just feel like the M3 missed it's mark.

i do think the S5 looks sexier than the m3 though... but i know the m3 is going to eat the s5 everywhere else.

Yeah, should be impressive.... BUT it'll be getting even worse mileage, so like 10-18mpg! (Unless I'm in an exotic, thats not cool.)

I have driven the A5 and it is a good looking, very masculine car. It got a lot of attention and the interior felt great. The lease rates made me blush though. My new e92 costs about 6k less than the a5 I test drove and with the same lease terms, it was $250 more a month. Ouch...

I imagine the S5 is a beast though, and did I mention it has some serious looks....
