Spring options with Msport suspension deleted

Hi guys,

So I have a 320d sport but with the sport suspension deleted.

Im very happy with the car and am not hugely disappointed with the handling, but I just think the car ride height looks a little high.

What options do I have spring wise without ruining the comfy ride?

Barry

If your going to bother changing springs then may as well go for ACS. Unless you really need the extra 10mm of ground clearance.

Sorry guys, I should have been clearer, I do have an Msport but with the msport suspension deleted.

So the ACS springs are good? How about the ride with them? is it much rougher?

Top of the morning to you all,

When you guys talk about suspension delete. Does it mean the adaptive system has to be deleted in order to install stall different springs, for example ACS springs? I'm assuming most BMW F30 330D M Sport models come with this adaptive system? (the one with the toggle switch next to the gear selector). I'm saying this because I bought mine second hand and assume it is a standard option for my model. I want to install ACS springs but don't know if I can with the adaptive system and looking to have a slightly lower ride height (say 15mm).

Any thoughts on this? Much appreciated.

There's quite a lot of confusion going on here!

1. m sport suspension delete means a m sport car that has been specced from factory with standard (se) suspension. However, the op's car is a Sport not an M Sport, so it wouldn't come with M Sport suspension as standard anyway.

2. ACS springs can be fitted to either adaptive or non adaptive suspension without a problem.

3. Your car does not come with adaptive suspension as standard, it is an optional extra. Every F3x comes with that toggle switch next to the gear stick, if the car doesn't have adaptive suspension or active sport steering then all it does is stiffen the steering, increases throttle response and put the gearbox in sport mode.

Hope this clears things up!

You set out to clarify and everything you said is right except OP has said he does have the M Sport with the M Sport suspension deleted! Now I'm confused as to why he wants a sportier suspension :

He doesn't want a sporty ride, he just wants it lower from what I can make out, so he wants shorter springs that are just as bouncy

Glue a few bits of spare metal to the top of the wheel arches and close the gap to make the car look lower

Just get the ACS springs.

Had a standard SE suspension car before -

Now got a 335xd with ACS springs. Ride comforts not adversely affected. Handling and stance better.

I hadn't seen that post! The OP should have got it right in his original post, why would he call an M Sport a Sport!?
