Car and driver had the M3 5 seconds quicker to 150 mph. Not saying that's always the case. And of course a lower speed is more of a drivers race but the M3 should hold it's own and even if it's behind at the beginning should start to go.

Once you learn how to shift out of first gear, you might even start smoking Civics. Sounds like it will be years before you should face legit competitors though.

The RS4's gear stick has got the biggest knob diameter by half an inch. Of course, he didn't measure it's length so we won't who's really the best.

And Autocar had the M3 0.2s quicker to the same speed. There seems to be a huge difference in results from one magazine to the next, well that is there seem to be a huge difference between US and Europe in their respective results.

Yes, I have. Left him standing at the lights and then proceded to pull away over roundabouts and down twisty country lanes. I cant even go over 5500 revs yet. Probably tells you more about RS4 drivers than the car itself though, play it safe boys generally speaking.
The old shape RS4 has had it's day, time for Audi to look towards the next generation.

Forza 2 ranks the rs4 (lighter euro version) very narrowly above the e92 as an overall track car in stock form! Can't say I necessarily agree, but its interesting coming from a simulation racing game.

The RS4 barely edged out the E46 M3 CSL. There is no way in hell BMW was going to let the new M3 get beat by a car that has been out for a couple of years already

It is just a matter of days before the M5board vids come out that will show the E92 M3 vs. RS4.
Not that it will surprise anyone but we should expect the RS4 to bring up the rear of the field, again.

T-Bone, I don't think anyone would doubt the new M3 would be quicker but from a standing start I wouldn't bet on the M3 winning a race up to 120mph, some it would win but most of them it would lose. AWD has it's advantages if at the expense of steering feel and adjust-ability. |

Aussie mag just did a rs4 v m3 comparrison 5 stars each, RS4 was quicker off the line and to 100kph, M3 pulled away after that. Off the lights m3 lose , rolling start or to +100kph m3 wins horses for courses.

Edmunds tested the less powered S5 with only .1 sec to 60 and quarter mile slower than the RS4 they've tested. It's time for a change.

Highway Driving-- Didn't want to stop in the middle of the highway, why not just call the cops and tell them we're racing.. From a stop i would imagine the RS4 would launch much better due to obvious reasons. Still think I would be able to catch him..
