630Nm makes itself known

Well I get "that" call this morning, erm boss I've crashed the car.

My initial reaction wasn't entirely professional, not a tirade of abuse, but laughing down the phone, I mean one less Vauxhall on the road, can only be a good thing, right?

As the crash site isn't to far away and takes in some nice roads, I head out with said numpty to survey the damage, before calling the lease company.

So arriving on the scene we're greeted by this

Apparently they breed big fuck off bunny rabbits in this neck of the woods and he swerved to avoid one instead of making a bright eyes stew.

She's stuck in there alright

The bags haven't gone off and the damage looks superficial enough - the fleet manager will be happy
Should I call the lease company and get it recovered he inquires, no says I, we have 630Nm torque sitting right here, we'll yank it out, see if she's drivable.

By now it had started to rain and the road is one of those covered in cow shit and general muck, this'll be fun
We hitch it up and I take up the slack, pull..

No drama, no wheel spin, in fact I couldn't tell I was dragging a 1400kg Astra out of drainage ditch. Mightily impressive stuff.

Needless to say the Astra is shagged, its popped a drive shaft and broken lower wishbone, so its going nowhere. So I drag its sorry ass over to the side of the road and thats where we leave it, looking sorry for itself, ready for collection on a flat bed.

Again no fuss, no drama, just ooommmpphhhhh

I love my 335d (edited lol)

Given the location on the road, I'd say he was taking that corner a bit too quick. Good bunny rabbit cover story though - credit where it's due!

He did fess up saying his entry speed was a bit optimistic, no shit sherlock, you ploughed half the corner prior to coming to a rest
