USB port not able to detect media

Recently my USB port is unable to detect any type of media. In the past, I had my iPhone connected via lightning cable and it was able to read artist/song data, provide steering wheel controls, and etc. Now, it is only able to charge.

I've tried using different types of media including my iPhone, an older iPod, and a USB stick. I've also tried swapping various Apple lightning cables, 30 pin to USB cable, and even a bluetooth Y cable. Nothing.

I've checked the fuses for the radio and usb port. I've also reseated all the cables of the combox and headunit. Still nothing.

I got desperate and tried testing for continuity from my lightning cable to the end of the USB port and both ends of the HSD cable (which connects from the USB port to the Combox). No issues there.

I did find some fault codes
00A900 - Google translated off of e90-forum.de "00A900 USB port shutdown due to overload"
00A8EC - Couldn't find anything for this
00A8F9 - Off of bmwpassion "00A8F9 CBX-MEDIA: software reset"

00E18D - Google translated off of motortaslk.de
"Message- DTC 00E18D
Phone and USB not go.
Navigation and radio functions."

Is my combox defective? Is there anything else I can check for?

So I have a new combox coming in soon. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. The only other point of failure I can think of is the Head Unit.

Does anyone know if coding the new combox is just a SG_CODIEREN to the MEDIA module in expert mode (not using MAN file)?

The new combox did the trick! Hopefully this will help others if they experience the same issue.
