How did your car handle the East Coast storm?

Greetings. Anyone on the east coast have any stories on how their E90 tackled the recent blizzard? Thanks.

Mine handled very well, though we didn't get the snow we were supposed to. We only got maybe 3 inches (even though the weather guys said we got 7"). I don't know, it felt like a RWD car (because it is) but it handled really well. Of course we've had a few small storms so far this winter and I've been out in all of them and I haven't had a problem yet, knock on wood.

There was certainly enough salt all over it, though. So I got it cleaned up this afternoon...looks like fair weather for the next few days.

We had 70 cm of snow. Drove right through what was on the streets (probably 12 or so cm).

Here are some pictures.

No problems. Dunlop M3s totally performed. As did the snow clean up crews.

Was driving around by Sunday afternoon/evening with no problems.

I had about 8 inches fall on mine here in Dover, DE. After the sun came out on Sunday afternoon, I let the snow melt for a while, and then took my ice scraper/brush to clean off the rest.

Had no problems in the Storm - roads were snow covered-car gripped the road without difficulty. No slips or slides , many other cars were stuck in the snow, skidded off the road and some even had trouble on I 95. This all wheel drive system works great !! River Road along the Delaware River once snow covered is dangerous, but with the 330xi it was any easy drive.

I actually faired rather well. I have Pirelli PZero Nero M+S performance all seasons on 162's, and they handled real well. Not the absolute surefootedness of winter tires, but certainly good enough for around here. I did go out driving in the snow throughout the night. Not a single problem :rocks:

Doesn't anybody here have a garage to park their car in?

I took her out sunday night after two hours of shoveling and had some fun. The Blizzak Revo 1's performed really well, never felt like I wasnt in control of the car.

I think Im going to step up to full on winter tires on my 162's for next season.

Just gives me more of an excuse for 19" CSL reps as a summer setup

Not sure if you will find staggered snows (Styling 162s are staggered) or whether non staggered snows will fit two different size wheels.

Also, the wider tires are not as beneficial as narrower ones (which is why I went to 17" tires for winter tires, and would have gone to 16" but the 16" wheels won't fit on the car).

Didnt take it out the day of, but the day after I did and it preformed 100% fine. Little bit of sliding on some tricky bits but no loss of control!

We got about a foot here in Ashburn VA. But the roads were perfect by the next morning. Go figure.
