Question 335xi Summer Wheels and Tire Combo Suggestions

Gents,

I have read many thread..... I have a 2008 335xi Coupe, it is my DD, I would like some suggestions please...... Here are my conditions:
  • Daily driver that I am NOT lowering
  • Need cool looking wheel that are not M6 reps (as I have a M6, I don't want to look at the same wheels)
  • Would like decent tires but I am not doing anything crazy with this car
  • Indifferent between 18 and 19" wheels
  • Trying not to spend too much as it is a leased car
Please provide some suggestions.... I.e. wheel types, offsets and tire combos.

Thanks guys.

Hartge reps?

Tire choice would be something like General Exclaim or Kumho Ecsta

The M5 reps are nice too, in 18" or 19".

Go non-staggered with some General Exclaims.

How bad are the roads out there?

What look are you looking for?

Are you a 5 spoker or is more better?

Thanks.. The roads are decent here I was really digging the RS4 reps. I like clean designs.

Yes what's your point? I lease my DDs so i don't want to dump money into a leased car. Doesn't matter how much money I have (or don't have), modding leased cars is not the best use of money.

Here are a few options I would consider:

Velocity Motoring 19" CSL Wheels

Velocity Motoring V708 RS4 Style Wheels

Velocity Motoring V714 19" Wheels

Velocity Motoring V715 Wheels

18" or 19" M5 Style Wheels

E92 M3 Replica Wheels

What are safe offsets for staggered wheels for a 335xi coupe?

Nick, I am intereted baby. What is shipping cost to Niagara Falls, NY?

Do the tires come mounted?

That is dependent on the width of the wheels but you can do up to a 19x8.5 ET35 all around although you can also run an ET40 or 45 depending on the wheel. Anything lower than the ET35 is too aggressive for the front.

Shipping just the wheels alone is $99 to Niagara Falls. We can also mount these with tire packages if you would like. Just let me know if you have any tire preferences and which wheel you want to go with and we can go from there

Safe offsets for.. well assuming you're getting 19" wheels.. you don't want to exceed ET35 in the front with a 19x8.5 and ET32 in the rear with 19x9.5. You can pull off ET30 in the rear, but i can probably guarantee you that you will rub in the back (depending on tire size/brand and if you've rolled your fenders)

We do offer comprehensive wheel and tire packages for low prices

Thanks guys.... I will not do the douchy thing and pit you guys against each other in a kumite with Jean Claude van Damme...

But I am looking for conservative (i.e. no rub) offsets.... What is your recommendation for Front and Rears.

One more basic question, should I go with 18"s or 19"s? I will NOT be lowering this car.

Thanks.

Once I get these details sorted out, I will scour your sites and start the pricing discussions (privately).

Okay, lets assume you're going with 19" MiRo CSLs, they have offsets specifically made for your 335 coupe, which is ET33 in the rear and ET35 in the front. That means there will be no rubbing, whether you drop your car or not. You should not exceed those offsets with 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. Of course, once again, you'd have to take into consideration what tires you get. I'd recommend you get 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 with that setup.

And since you're not lowering your coupe, 19" wheels would probably be better than 18", imo.

So the 335XI coupe has the same offsets as the RWD 335i coupe?

my personal summer setup on 335i coupe:

OEM ZCP: $1k-1.4k Max
10mm Spacer Front: $130 (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...50#post2346050)
Fender Roll Rear: $50 From Local Forum Member
Tires: General UHP ($400-$450 Max)
TPMS: $200
Total: $2030
Sell OEM 189 Rim Package: $800
Total Spend: Basically $1230

in the future if i decide to lower i just need a -2 neg camber at the rear but i don't plan on doing that.

Thanks.... I am going to do some looking.

Expect a PM from me by early next week with some options. What are your shipping charges? Do you mount tires?

Expect the same Nick.

BTW, in my experience, if you don't lower the car, the bigger the wheel, the bigger the perceived gap. The 335xi already suffers as having the 4X4 look.

Like I said above, ET35 is as low as you can go in the front and since you are running that all around, that would be the offset to go with.

I'd go with 19s honestly, IMO 18s are just not big enough to fill the wheel well.

I hope to be hearing from you soon Our shipping charges are $99 for wheels only and $149 for wheels and tires within the United States. We do mount and balance your tires with our latest Hunter series

And I don't know about the lower car situation.. I mean, I went from 18" to 19" and it actually looks like the wheel covered more of the gap than the 18". But that might've been just me. If you do plan on lowering your car, and you want to save some money, PM me, we'll definitely work a solution out for you

Thanks, I looked at that thread. Isn't that car photoshopped with the steel grey CSLs?

As you can see, I have some serious gap issues
