M235i going in for my 20K mile service...Expectations or surprises??
From what I've read on this forum this service will entail oil change and a cabin filter (maybe).
The SA confirmed my 2014 car I bought used will include free service. Any surprises I should expect at the 20K mark? They said my car was not part of the fuel pump recall. Cheers.

I wouldn't expect much...
I just had my first service which was due because of time not mileage. The message on the dash still gave me 2500 more miles. They changed the oil and the wiper blades only because I asked for it. I asked them if they were going to change the air filter...no, he said. He said that next year they would change the air filter and the time after that the cabin filter. I'm going to change the air filter myself, two years on an air filter is crazy in a dry desert climate. |

You get tap out the dust from the air filter and vacuum out the air-filtee housing of any small particles.
After nearly two-years my filter was extremely clean, the leading surface hadn't even turned grey in the path of the incoming air. Though, I'm going to buy a new filter in a few weeks, will be at 18,000 miles |

I have a dinan intake. I assume I should take that off for my first service. Edit: I just searched, and just an intake shouldn't be an issue.

I just ordered a K&N filter from Amazon Prime. I did some research, it seems that a cloth filter with oil allows increased air flow while staying cleaner longer.

You can get free wiper blades once a year. I would ask for new ones at your service because they will only replace them if you ask.

By the time my service comes up, I will have a Dinan, intake, exhaust, and springs. I won't have a tune yet, so I hope it's not a problem. |

That's a good tip on the blades given it rains sometimes in Seattle from Oct-May. Ha. Seriously, I had not thought of wipers blade update. Thank again.
