The Best Detailing Routine....?

Hey guys, I just got my M3 a week ago and am interested in coming up with a manageable detailing and washing routine. I have found alot of very useful info at www.detailuniversity.com.

My car was detailed by the dealership when i picked it up. I do not know what kind of protection the car has from the factory, or what was done at the dealership.

Should I assume that whatever protection the car came with was inadequate, and start with a full detail. (prewash / wash / clay bar /polish / glaze / wax...etc) Or should I start with more of a maintenanace routine, and do the full detail later.

I am very much a novice on the subject, and appreciate any insight you guys can give.

What does your routine consist of?

Do the full detail with wax, you wont have to worry about it for awhile.

For all new car prep I:

1.Wash
2.Clay
3.Polish
4.Seal
5.Wax

Also you want to do a engine detail and a complete interior detail such as leather conditioning and fabric protecting.

The more protection you use and the quicker you apply that protection, the longer your car will look new.
