What F31 to decide on ?

Hi Guys new to the bmw scene after owning a van for numerous years.

Anyway been looking into purchasing a 2nd hand F31 m sport.
Been considering the 320d but after a thread I create I'm favouring the 330d .

So I've had my eye on TripleD's really nice F31 which is the 320d TripleD's
And a 330d on EBay BMW-F31-330D-M-SPORT-TOURING-

Personally I'd prefer a black bmw. Unsure on what packs have in them going of the listing compared to Triple's, and never been really clued up to what the packs/extras include.

The eBay one does have double the mileage and obviously I'm unsure on its previous owners history ( leasing company ), they have stated a price that's lower then listing price due to an enquiry.
Does include Xenoms which I'm after but not stated.

Any advice would be helpful as its a lot of money for me , so trying to make the correct decision.
Car wise I only travel around a 30mile round trip to work daily, was considering a 320i for this reason.

@Triple hope you don't mind me including you in this thread if so just let me know and I will edit it.

Thanks in advance

Great choice with the f31.
For me, I would be really looking at the mileage.
Considering that BMW warranty price shoots up above 60k, I'd be aiming for under that and at over 100k, I'd personally be looking in detail at when suspension components were replaced, brakes etc. as they could add up quite significantly.

I'm a big fan of the six cylinder engines and the uncouth nature of the 20D can get annoying after a while. Having the Sports Auto, as TripleD's car does, makes it much more pleasant though. It's a capable enough engine and has plenty of power for day to day driving.

People who are enthusiastic enough to join this forum probably care for the cars in a better way than the general population, that would be a vote in favour of TripleD's car if I was in your position.

I haven't gone through the spec of the cars, but both appear to have the main points all covered.

The advert for the 330D does nothing for me, the style puts me off and throwing words such as tiptronic into a BMW ad grates with me, as does 'comms pack' unless there used to be something called that.

Taking the 320D and running it for a year or two will leave you with a lot of your initial investment remaining for a later upgrade.

I swapped my 320d auto Msport Saloon approx two months ago for a F31 Msport 330d. I loved the 320d and it's a great car, but always had an itch for something a bit quicker (that's what this forum does for you) so decided to swap. The 330d is superb and the touring is excellent, so much to say (at the moment) I don't think I would revert back to the Saloon now in future. Whatever your choice there's lots of information and opinions on this site which will help guide you and assist in your decision👍

Well certainly would be steering clear of anything with over 100k on the clock for that price.

Look through autotrader and also on the bmw approved site so you get an idea of what us out there. Also look at the new car wizard option packs and while they will have changed it will give you an idea of roughly what is in included when an advert states pro nav for example.

That ebay advert is too generic and thats alot of cash for a 100k mile car.

Thanks guys really appreciate the feedback/advice.
as stated above looking at a car with such high mileage is defiantly negative.

Plus knowing someone with a great rep and genuine reason for sale on the forums compared to a generic eBay listing is always a plus.
