Help me deck out my friend's 335xi coupe
Hi,
I have an e46 and my friend wants me to help him pick mods for his E92 335xi 6MT coupe. He wants: - Cat-back Exhaust (Dave96cm will custom make one with flamed tips) - ECU (Dinan, SST?) - Wheels/tires (He wants black wheels with red time attack to match his red interior/black exterior. Staggered or not for XI?) - Suspension Drop ok for daily driving (H&R sports springs?) - New hood since his is currently damaged. (Vorsteiner worth it? Any new vendors for E92 hoods?) - Full body kit (front, rear, sides, trunk lid spoiler. Lips are ok too. What are all these small designers of E9x CSL trunks? good?) Budget is somewhat flexible, I am guessing $5,000 - $8,000 What's good?

weeeeeeeerd
for 5k you can get an exhaust, piggyback or flash, and um maybe suspension ECU you can do Juicebox and Vishnu PROcede also. Wheels, so many choice body kits... all the E90 shit out there but like any project car you gotta list what you want first ---- I've just got simple shizzle -Seth

ok his priority seems to be this, top to bottom:
- Wheels + tires, they need to be strong enough to withstand comm ave potholes, tires we can probably make do with General UHP - Suspension - ECU - Exhaust - Bodykit - what's the OEM M-sport bodykit I see? It looks clean, but only includes front and rear lips? Will Procede ruin warranty? He was concerned about that.

Suspension -- H&R Sports Springs for XI --> H&R Coilover for XI --> KW V3 Coilover for XI ECU -- Dinan would be the safest route to go if he's concerned about warranty. Active Autowerke's Active Processor is a real bargain at 695. I love the AA tune, very smooth and no issues after a full year. Exhaust -- Active's catback is pretty good, CP-E is sweet as well Body Kit -- personally like the subtlety of the Aerokit front and rear, side skirts would pick M3 reps or M-Tech (too much work involved in getting the OEM M3 fit on the E92). Rear spoiler I would pick Vorsteiner if he wants more flare or OEM M3 for understated aggressiveness.

Warranty wont be a problem if nothing breaks and if something bad happens pull it out.
Many of the tunes and piggybacks are great. AA is good, I got PROcede I love it, Dinan is pretty good but pricey etc. I got a Eisenmann Meisterschaft, love it but I didn't want to do a catback. Wheels check out wheeldude.com suspension KW2 coilovers

Seth, I dunno how to break it to you, but the Meisterschaft are not Eisenmann products :P Eisenhaus is a bunch of crooks, they sold the "Meisterschaft" line off as if they were Eisenmann products. AFAIK, they only made sport/race lines

For springs, you can now do H&R sports or full coilover as well. H&R just released those items.

That is correct. Only KW V3 for the XI or the H&R Coilover
