I know man. Same here. I was out driving and I was thinking to myself I wonder if other people drive this aggressively (going WOT often)?
Sometimes I roll up to a stoplight and I just want to mash the gas from a stop but I don't want to give the other driver's around the impression that I am trying to "race" or drive reckless. I just want to go fast too. |

i live in a city, so there isnt much room to go WOT, and when im on the freeway, its kinda busy but a downshift to about 3k revs gives me enough pull to around cars.

I mostly go WOT on the freeway and hardly ever in first anymore.
I think that 3rd gear is the best for WOT.

going WOT at first gear cost me an engine lol. I do at 2nd and 3rd when traffic allows me. 4th gear is my friend on the highway

WOT in 1st not very often, because its so violent and attracts a lot of attention with burning rubber, etc... 2nd gear I can ease into WOT, but 3rd gear is my favorite "mash it" gear.

I love to go WOT from about 30mph in 2nd gear on a freeway onramp every day after work. I usually hit 100 about midway into 3rd gear and then slow it down real quick to about 80. One time I noticed a CHP car with lights flashing, but luckily he was just pulling someone else over. So I'm just real careful with it now. I also love to launch hard out of a red light, but I try to only do that when there's no one else around. I guess it's addicting and one of the reasons I look forward to driving every day.

my mpg has been suffering every since installing catless downpipes and my UR intake........I love the power and the SOUND!!!!
I removed my right rear tire the other day to detail it and found about an inch of caked on burnt rubber on the inner fender liner!!!! So thats where my RFT went!!

Oh baby, 2nd gear from 30 or so on an onramp is the best. I thought "I" was the only one who ragged on these cars.......glad to see I'm not. I spoke to a customer with a STEP E90 328i yesterday, convo went like this:
customer: "so how far up can I take this thing?" me: "what do you mean?" customer: "on the dash, how far can I take to needle to?" me: "you mean the tachometer?" customer: "yeah, the revs" me: "well it has a rev limiter sir, so you can rev it as high as you like" customre: "REALLY?!! I was afraid to take it over 3K incase I hurt it" me: "Sir, you could put a brick on the throttle in neutral for 20 minutes and not hurt that engine" customer: "AWESOME!!!" I knew he was original owner, so I looked at the odometer and it had 12K miles on it
