Vortec Cyclone/Turbonator

Someone pointed out this product to me today and I checked there website - I suspect its all marketing hype but they claim 10-15bhp increase for a mere $40 (would be nice if true).

Was just wondering if anybody had any experience with this mod and can back up my gut feeling that this is a useless mod?

I just received my K&N air filter - so am looking forward to installing that tonite as I know that should make a small improvement.....

This mod will add 50HP, and is a much better deal than the Turd-onator.

50HP exhaust mod, CHEAP!

Oh man. What were those battery powered "turbos" that you bolt onto the front of your intake. Anyone remember those?

Come on people - are you seriously asking if a $5 piece of tin will do anything short of falling apart and getting sucked into your engine??

Sssssssnake oil!

The only way way that I would believe the claims is if an independent lab did an analysis of the product. Of course, you can claim anything you want until someone cries wolf.

Do it! Do it! It'll and 10 times more power than the asian decals do on a honda. It'll improve your cornering more than the rapid blink blue turn signal.

Go with your gut here. It's a waste of money.

The turbonator rocks!! I get compliments all the time about how great my intake sounds.

Since having it installed (labor was about $90) I don't even have to smoke 335's anymore. I rev the motor and usually the other guy backs down once they hear the vortex generator.

I'm thinking about ordering 2 more and popping them in their in case I run into a GTR or a ZR1. Hopefully I'll get a break on the labor since they can do them at the same time.
