So I coded EBT and evreything was great but then I lost my instrument gauge lights and a service message came up. So I loaded the backup and tried to code the ecus back to before and I coded the one that sets off every possible error- I tried to insert a new caf file but no luck.. So uh little help pretty please

Probably ask Shawn.

You should not code the whole Ecu tree. You should code just one Ecu at a time

So I followed revert instructions and my car is back to normal, just took a few restarts. I'll find out later if my Gaige lights are back or not - has anyone ever heard of cluster lights going out with coding?

Well that explains it. How about TPMS values? Temp and psi? Nav only as well?

No, that should work as long as you have metal stems on your wheels instead of rubber

Certain ECU's will throw errors when coding them. As long as there are no errors shown in E-sys and still have blue CAFD with green check marks when read SVT, then usually fine. Errors on instrument cluster or head unit will either clear themselves with driving or you sometimes have to use external transmitter. You should not be loading SVT. It is fine to load FA if you VO coding without writing changes to VCM.

Okay that clears it up, now that the cars back to normal and I had success coding EBT and halo brightness I'm feeling bold enough to try and get the rest of the functions up.

Tpms is not working for me no matter what however- I have 3 metal caps one plastic if matters

they need to look like this

you in the US? All M235s in the US will have metal stems
if you have the one below then you don't have the sensors?

Re TPMS: Do you have 2VB in your FA? I switched mine to metal shown. Caps do not matter; but as Pikcachu said, the stems make a difference whether you have metal TPMS or plastic ones that measure by revolutions.

That's really weird... I thought all M235s in the US came with the sensors....
And PSI was always displayed... Temp had to be coded in some cases

Hmm yeah I'm going to a pro coder later today to have him just do the rest of the features and to take a crack at getting some of these (tpms) possibly working

Good luck. On newer head units, PSI should show from factory and it is only the temperature readings that need to be coded. Once the tires turn green after a little driving, it should register shortly after.

Did you buy the car used ?

Maybe the previous guy had different wheels without sensors and coded out the TPMS so it wouldn't throw an error and now if he put the stock wheels back on, the sensors won't do anything if the car was coded out

It's like your name is Miss Cleo or something haha, yeah exactly what was done, it was used- picked it up a week ago. Off lease just has a few niggles- like changes in volume don't show on any screen? Unless that's normal
