Any M2 owners fit M4 ceramic brakes on yet

I got quoted by aftermarket about 13500 usd to have them installed, wondering if anyone here fitted M4 stock ceramic brakes including calipers on M2 yet...

Yes, not cheap, but nobody replied installed M4 ceramic brake on Mr. Hoonigan808's thread on
"F8x Ceramics on M2 (Multi-page thread 1 2)"

so I had to ask again to make sure they fit.

Hopefully someone will also install them since the advantage for having them on the track...

Stock rotors/calipers with race pads are AWESOME on the track. NO fade with the Pagid pads. One set of pads lasted six days of incredibly hard use. Don't see an effective ROI with the ceramics.

This. I would definitely upgrade to stainless steel lines as well on the M2, though. Especially if you are going to be tracking in high ambient temperature situations.

Good to hear! Which Pagids did you use? I'm guessing RS-29 front and rear? Do you have any other modifactions on your M2 (MP suspension, CUP2 tyres)?
Did you try the M performance brake pads also?

Using the RS29s front and rear. Never tried any other pad. I haven't done anything to the suspension as of yet, but I'm installing camber plates and H&R springs next week.

Why not coilovers instead of springs? Seems like if you're gonna do camber plates you'd want some adjustability along with it.

I've had this car on long, high speed tracks (Watkins Glen, Mosport), short (Lime Rock), and autocross events. I'm pretty happy with the stock valving. It does need more camber to even out the wear and increase the contact patch. I'm just looking for a tad less body roll, and a drop for esthetic purposes. The ROI on the springs should be decent.

I agree. methinks Pads / springs and camber would all be 90% of guys will require.
I had the M2 on Lakeside Park track yesterday and it is very competent straight out of the box

You will want them on both the front and rear to keep the brake bias balanced.

Do you know if RS29 pads are suitable only for street use? Or they are too much?

They squeal like a pig on the street. But the pad change procedure is so simple, it's a easy swap to revert to stock.

On my Z4M I now use RS-29 at the front and RS-4-4 at the rear. Pagid advised me this set-up and I think this gives better brake balance then RS-29 all round. But my Z4M has bigger AP racing brakes front and rear and maybe this changes brake balance? Best set-up I used on my AP racing brakes is RS-14 at front and RS-4-4 rear. Awesome initial bite and great brake balance, but RS-14 is more aggressive on the front discs (rotors).

I have used RS-29 and RS-14 on the street. Perfectly usuable, but they will make a lot of noise.

The changing procedure on the M2 brakes is something I need to check how it is done. On my AP brakes it is so easy to do and I hope it is also the case with the M2 brakes.

M3/4 and M2 have the exact same brakes.
