I'm about to take delivery of a F80 M3 in the next 2 weeks. Dealership said they didn't receive such bulletin. Anyone who is about to take delivery heard anything yet?

ZhouPC - you should have the VIN number and you should be able to check the build date. I suspect your car is built on or about the 8th June and is on the carrier Toledo. I checked with the dealer but he was abit vague but said Oz vehicles are not affected...very strange unless the batch affected are LH drive vehicles. Once the vehicle arrive a Delivery Stop may be implemented if BMW Australia is advised of the problem. I hope not as my vehicle is also scheduled for delivery in early August.
Which dealer did you purchase your vehicle?

Hi Team, I have been affected by the delivery stop. So I can confirm that we in Australia are absolutely affected by the issue. I haven't taken delivery but I am trying to source as much information as possible before confirming what my next steps are with my dealer.

It is clearly a less than ideal situation!

Thanks that's the first one I heard from Oz.
How did you find out your car is affected? Did your dealership tell you?
Also when is your build date?

176 vehicles are effected in Australia and nearly 4000 worldwide! Anything pre delivery or on a boat will not be delivered.

I just cancelled my M3 comp order today with a Brisbane dealer after expecting delivery this week and now to be told it could be a 6-7 weeks away!

Fortunately I have managed to source an unaffected M3 form a different dealer.

It's pretty disappointing service from BMW Australia. They have been aware of the issue for weeks and only informed dealers last week. Most disappointing they don't have any time frame on deliveries on effected vehicles. Supposedly there are 10 diffs a week coming though, with cars on the road being prioritised first.

I just heard about this but have no answer to what the actual issue is yet, it will be interesting to find out as these repairs are performed.

A friend of mine cancelled his M3 CP because of the unconfirmed timeframe for the recall. Got into a new C63s instead...

Apparently mine not affected, built just after the issue so I'm guessing now I'm thankful for he additional wait for Ind Paint?

No problem cancelling my order and getting my deposit back. I'm glad I did as now I've got a vehicle and it seems there is still no confirmed delivery dates for affected cars.

Good luck!
