Is there a way to lower a 335 XI?

What is the best/cheapest way to lower an XI?

cheapest, HR sport springs, best, probably KW V3s. Spring will run you around 240, KW v3s around 1800 plus shipping. THe difference? Springs arent matched up w/ the stock shocks, you can blow your shocks in a few thousand miles and get ready for a crappy ride. Also the front will sit higher than the rear for some odd reason...

get coilovers, if you dont want to fork out 1800 for KW V3s which by the way is your only option in the KW brand, Get HR coilovers for the 328xi. These you can get from **********s for 1255 SHIPPED right now and they will give you adjustability, better ride/performance than just springs, and wont hurt your wallet as bad as the KW V3s

KW V3s>HR 328xi coilovers>>>>>HR sport springs

In my opinion I would not do springs on my car again....just not a good balance of ride/performance etc

As pdjafari has mentioned, there are a few ways to lower an XI. If you have the money, I would definitely go with the KW Variant 3.

My 335xi on the way are HR spings that bad? I ran those on my is300 and they where great..was going to put them on my 528xi but decided not to.

H&R springs are not bad at all. That's not what we're saying at all. The original poster asked which is the best way and in our opinion, KW3 is the best way if you have the budget for it. If you're just looking to lower the car with springs then H&R or Eibach is the way to go.

So we have 2 good options, the KW and the HR.

The HR costs less, but are you giving up anything in comparison?
How easy to lower/raise in comparing the two products?
How easy to adjust rebound and dampening in comparing the two?

I use the car as a performance daily driver so I dont mind a stiffer ride and will track 4-8 times per year so I'd want to be able to readjust my setup for the track without having to turn the car upside down to do it if possible.

i'm eager to wait for blistein to come out with their product. Comparing V3 with the Blistein solution i think there won't be too much of a price difference~

other than the fact that V3 gives better adjust-ability, what is the difference between the two when it comes to dropping the car's height?

what i've heard is that the H&R coilover doesn't let you drop the front as much as the back so the front looks very jacked up comparing to the back.

Whenever modifying a part on the vehicle, you do not violate the warranty in its entirety. The dealer cannot refuse to perform warranty service on the car that is unrelated to the modification such as repairing the radio. It does void the suspension warranty so any issues related to the suspension will not be covered by the dealer. But the dealer MUST prove that the modification caused the problem on vehicle.

Either or the KW V3 for xi or the H&R for the xi are the current options - We've got them available. Bilstein - listed a fitment on their site but they have nothing yet. I honestly think it would be great for KW to offer a Variant 1 for the xi's.

I prefer the KW's the price might be more - but it really is a great product that earns the price you pay for it. It does go lower to answer one of the questions posed. Remember we're an official authorized KW dealer - we'll make sure to get you hooked up at a great price

I wish KW had a V2 for the xi. If they did, I'd be all over it. I just don't ever plan on taking my car to the track, so I don't need that much adjustability. Oh well. Guess I'll have to pony up the extra dough for the V3.
