Just thought id ask for some help on this. Im looking to get a little bit of stretch out of my tires. My current setup is this:

Front: 18x8.5 et35 225/40-18
Rear: 18x9 et31 255/35-18

What size tire should i put in the front and rear to balance out the amount of stretch and balance the effect it will have on the speedometer? Ive been searching and using all different tools online but havent been able to find anything that works so far. Im planning on getting some H&R coilovers for my XI and setting them pretty low.

Not entirely sure what you're asking with regards to stretch and balance and its effect on the speedo. What affects the speedo is a different rolling diameter.

By stretch do you mean wider? You could go 235/265 if thats what you're looking for and still keep the same rolling diameter.

Sorry im new to this tire selection stuff. What i meant was trying to put a slightly narrower tire onto the wheel to get the sidewalls of the wheel to poke out just a little bit...kinda like the pictures. I know its obviously not everyones cup of tea, but im just curious on how to get just a slight bit of that safely with my current wheels.

Thank you! I was thinking 215/40 fronts and 245/35 rears?

Stretched tires kinda make me itch, they're like the automotive equivalent of wearing your hat like this:

Just be careful the outer diameters are close. On an xI it'll screw up if they aren't even.
