Cam sensor failure...
I've had my second cam sensor failure. Anyone know what might be the cause of this? Dealer is gonna look at it next week.

Is it the same fault code for the failure? It would be interesting to see if it failed twice for the same reason. Might be a sign of a bigger issue. Or it might just be a sign of crappy cam sensors.

Not sure if it's the same code. I'll have to ask. What are some things that could cause the sensor to fail?

Update: Dealer addressed the issue and said it was caused by a sticky vanos solenoid. They removed and cleaned both solenoids, intake and exhaust and reprogrammed the car. I don't know much about cars, so does this sound like it will do the trick?

When you came back they realised it was a bigger issue. I reckon you'll be ok now. |
