skip to around 10:30 to see actual people working on the car. the beginning should be titled "a man and his many robots"

Insane what car building has become.

I'm sure they'd gladly charge you more for a hand built chassis. Not sure how else one would assemble the core of that car.

AND.......they do it all NON UNION!

As far as the robotics, afraid we're gonna see more of that sooner than later when we raise minimum wages, even at McDonald's, robots are far more efficient over the long haul, and they don't even bitch or protest.

I'm pretty sure every automobile plant in Germany is all Unionized....Germany doesn't do "right to work" as in certain states in the US.

The future is now !
These s@ckers replace 60-70 % of the people ..I develop and program them .
And see a lot people go.. jobs become extinct ..
Hate my job , and finally it's all about financial speculation .
Within 6-7 years most factories work without people , and from where get people without jobs the money to buy the cars..?

Income tax is higher in Germany and historically the exchange rate between the Euro and the Dollar has favored Germany.

In addition in 2008 companies laid off full timers and as business picked up they were rehired as contract workers.

Those orange robots at the beginning must be huge. I thought the pieces they were moving around were small until the dude picked one up.
