Daily driving BMS Stage1 vs JB4 Map 1

Hi,

I plan on keeping my car for a while so I want to keep it as stock as possible. (Can't get catback due to emissions + warranty, only I've only replaced the exhaust with an MPE for sound, maybe get a new CAI once warranty goes out)

I'm looking at both BMS Stage 1 and JB4 Map 1 and it looks like JB4 would be the better choice for longevity. Can someone fact check this for me?

Stage1 is simple plug and play. 10 min or so.
JB4 is now all plug and play, just need to wire through the firewall to OBDII. Benefit: Allows me to leave the exhaust open.
Both should be easily taken off with no marks when taken into the dealer.

BMS Stage 1:
+3.5 PSI consistantly. Even at 10% throttle it'll get ecu expected value +3.5 PSI?

JB4 map 1:
+4 PSI but PSI increase based on throttle. At 10% throttle the PSI increase is less than +4 PSI and will continue linearly until WOT?

From the looks of things, at wot jb4 will put more stress on the engine but for 90% of my drives (nice and slow city driving with 35mph speed limit) it will be less strenuous on the engine?

Or am I being completely wrong on how these tunes work?

TIA!

email the guys at Burger Tuning, they are very helpful. I was looking at some DME flashes but ended up getting a good deal on a JB4. I had planned on just getting the Stage 1 but the full JB4 offers a lot more for your money.

Installed my JB4 today, Map1 is plenty for daily driving and Map2 is even more fun. When you are just driving around normally it feels just like stock. I'm happy with it.

I got my answer! For future references (for those who are also thinking about daily driving), the boost doesn't kick in until the accelerator pedal goes past ~50% or so. Hence daily driving will probably not be any different!

JB4 I believe. the BMS Stage 1 only hooks onto the MAP and TMAP sensors so I don't think they know the acceleration pedal information. I think the JB4 CANbus monitors the acceleration pedal + other information.

(I might be wrong as I only asked about jb4)
