Who has installed an aftermarket intercooler?

I know some have already done this...

Were these straight bolt-ons for the F22? Thoughts? Opinions?

I'm sure a lot of us here will be going FBO...

I plan to do it one day, and so far M2 intercooler is the same as for M235i, so yeah any aftermarket should be able to fit.

I wouldn't. One of the reasons you go with Dinan is the warranty. Mixing parts seems to go against that goal. Also I believe because they take financial responsibility for the cars that their products go in their engineering can be trusted more so than most aftermarket manufacturers. I have read countless posts here of guys running all kinds of mods that resulted in catastrophic results and were stuck with enormous repair bills because you walk through SEMA and their are a million amateur engineers out there putting out stuff that may or may not be compatible. The intercooler is probably low risk but what would the advantage be of taking it if you already bought the Dinan tune??

I normally do all my work myself. This is the first car that I'm backed into a corner and might be forced to pay a shop to install parts. I just want to install something myself and save money on the way.

I was thinking the intercooler might be a good item to DIY since its so low risk.

I'm getting the forge intercooler, it's a bit deeper than the stock and is not a step type. It's bar and plate, forge mentioned this was best for the m2

Just had the Wagner evo comp 2 installed. Fitment was ideal, as big as you can go without cutting or modifying.

Difference between Wagner comp evo1 and evo2 except it's a little bigger?

Fin density on charge side and ambient side?

Anyone else can chime in on the VRSF intercoolers? After reading the installation instructions of the Dinan kit, not interested in cutting anything

I have a wagner evo2 coming now. It won't be installed for another month due to work schedule, but I'll take pics of the installation.

Definitely want to know how the fitment is, are you changing out the CP as well?

Any reason why you switched to the Dinan I/C besides purchasing the kit?
