Pre-Lci e90 335i to LCI
Figured it was time to start posting more often.
I usually do more lurking than posting trying to get ideas and help using some of the DIY sections. Anyways... I've had my E90 for almost 4 years and It's gone through a few stages. It's about to be cleaned up due to me being careless over the last year and a half. It is a Pre-lci E90 335i in Sparkling Graphite Metallic. Manual, dove grey interior with heated seats. First stage I wish I had better quality photos. Sorry. - Megan coilovers. - Varrstoen Es2 Te-37 reps 19x9.5/10.5 et 22. 235/35 and 255/35 I also ran Forgestar cf5 18x10/12 et 5 and 21 after adapters. 215/35 and 255/35. - Pre-lci carbon trunk. - yellow fog bulbs and Drl. - home made side splitters. - Ebay carbon front lip. - Bms Dci. - Raceland Downpipes. - Jb4. - Custom exhaust. Second stage The car was backed into while I was parked in the lot at my work. Damaged the hood, bumper, passenger fender and headlight. I saw this as an opportunity to go Lci M-Sport. Looked up a few shops that specialized in this hoping to have the job done right. Found a shop called DTM Autobody in El Monte, California. (Don't EVER go there.) Anyways after 3+ months + a couple grand out of pocket. ( I paid extra to have my rear replaced with an M-Sport bumper, my trunk painted a lip installed, and a regulator went out so they had to replace it.) After that long in the shop I didn't care I wanted the car back. Here are some pictures. (That's all you care about I'm sure, lol.) Third stage. - New wheels. Ag F141 18x11 et 0 18x12 et 12 with 235/35 and 255/35 and - New Suspension. Broadway Static coilovers. - New steering wheel, Alcantara flat bottom. (The car didn't come with a sport wheel so I needed a new air bag as well, annoying.) - macht schnell shift knob. - Sparco R100 Driver's seat. - Wrapped then unwrapped interior trim. - Wrapped matte blue. - Volkommen Design lip. - Yellow Headlight/fog light film - Lci carbon trunk w/euro tails. - Carbon mirror caps and roof fin. - F30 Front Calipers. - Home made front splitter, side splitters and rear diffuser. - Vrsf intercooler. - Switched to a Cobb access port. Third point 5 stage -Added a few more colors to get more mileage out of the vinyl before unwrapping the car. Cosmis Racing Xt206R 18x11 et 8 squared with 245/35 Thanks for checking this thread out. Updates to come. Last edited by hybridn54; 06-02-2017 at 04:46 PM.. |

Fourth Stage.
- Corbeau Evolution X seats, re-wrapped my steering wheel in leather/perforated to get rid of the oily alcantara feeling (I love alcantara as long as it isn't touched.) - Did a full BLACK interior conversion which was a nightmare.... I had no idea how difficult it could be and how many damn pieces there were. Anyways everything had to be replaced from the carpet to the damn sun visor clips. My buddy is a tech so that made the most difficult things a little easier like the sunroof shade and the carpet. - Perforated e-brake handle to match wheel. -Work Vs-xx that I found here on the forums 18x10 et25 and 18x11.5 et35 I'm running a 5mm spacer on the front and 10mm spacer on the rear. 225/265 tires. Re-aligned with way less camber and my car couldn't be running/rolling better. (I've never delayed any service and have had so many things replaced under warranty it's insane!!!) - Apex stud conversion. - Removed the Volkommen lip. - Made new front and side splitters. (Diffuser will be back from powder-coating this week.) - Fog Delete. - Wrapped in gloss blue this time. - Intakes were sold it is time for new ones. Disregard fender line up lol it's been corrected. UPDATE 5/31/17 Fifth Stage is just about wrapped up.... Literally. Took me over a month doing a few pieces at a time with a buddy of mine but happy with the result. -Avery Diamond White Vinyl with a Gloss Black roof. - Shadow Line Trim. - Gloss Black Kidneys. - Took my wheels apart and had the faces/lips/barrels powder-coated black. - Replaced all my underbody panels even the fabric ones next to the side skirts. (Not that anyone cares, Lol) - Made another Front Splitter. (Slightly more aggressive this time) - Made a Duck Tail/ Windbreak thing that I've been meaning to do for a while now and love it. - Removed my mirrors and sprayed them to get that new oem finish back. My front and rear glass seals are gone because they were rotted and it's better to wrap without them to get deeper anyways. Have new ones going on within a few weeks when I get a new windshield and can do my cowl at the same time Since the car is OLD. Decided to do a different style diffuser this time around and haven't finalized a design yet but that will come later. (I also realize I never posted the blue on here with the diffuser I had on, oh well. (It was the same as when it was matte blue.) Last edited by hybridn54; 06-01-2017 at 09:15 PM.. |

Nice work. What did you make the diffuser out of? I'm in the process of making some aero but may skip the diffuser... The sides are done and fronts are almost done. Diffuser seems quite a bit more complicated than the side and front splitters though lol

I can dig it. Not overdone and different. Never cared for the yellow headlight overlay though

Yooo so how does the front ride and how bad does it rub? Did you change out the end links at all?

i think stage 3.5 is my favorite as it truly shows you having fun with the car. the camo works for me with how aggressive the car sits. license plate is perfect.
