Thoughts on Seibon GT wing??
Looking to see if the 2addicts members have any thoughts on the Seibon GTWING1 - 58.25" GT Style Carbon Fiber Rear Wing Spoiler?? I did some searching and found one M235i out there with one. Just want to get outside opinions on whether it looks good and fits the style of the M235i, or not and just doesn't look good on the car. Thanks!

Not a fan of any wing unless its a dedicated track car or your going to a car show.

Too tall. Can't speak for the aerodynamics of the needed track down force (assuming it's needed) for these cars, but from an aesthetic stand point it looks oddly proportioned on the rear. I think our cars would benefit from from something a little more subtle like this.

Lmao so many mixed responses... the thing is, I also have mixed feelings about this modification because I'm afraid that it will look odd in person, but another part of me says it may look pretty good and aggressive, and it's something different, while everyone is running these small carbon fiber lip spoilers.
Anyway, for my use, it will mainly be for cosmetic purposes. I don't track my car as of now, but maybe down the road it could see it's fair share of track days, when I give my car spending a larger budget lol. For now it's my daily driver, that makes its way to car meets/shows here and there.

At 40 years old I feel like I'm not young enough to pull that off lol. If it makes you happy then go for it.

I think it may look a little odd with stock wheels and suspension. If the car is lowered with some wheels and other supporting aero mods, I think it would look really good. If you like it, go for it!

Back when I was a track day snob I would say, "No, unless you track the car" lol.
But if you like the looks then go for it. I would recommend sourcing a 2nd trunk though so you don't have to put holes in your original one. In case you want to ever get rid of the wing. No direct experience with Seibon, but I've ran APR wings on two of my other cars and was happy with them. |

Car needs to be really aggressively modded to pull it off IMO

So after thinking about it for a while, it seems more practical to go with a lip and the most aggressive I could find is the exotics tuning style. Ordered from CNAUTOFANS last night

have that and so far liking it. not to the extend that "omg i just love it". I always have a feeling for a gt wing, but i'm pretty damn sure my 235 is not going to pull it off without a widebody kit.

Well, I won't say it looks good. But do what makes you happy. It's your car after all.
The big wing always makes me think there should be a giant pushing the car around, like a giant shopping cart. Or one of those kid's push cars for toddlers. |
