Question Winter wheels M2 + question about wheels (same as M4)?

I have a BMW M2 on delivery this winter I was already thinking about the possible winter tyre set-up. Is their already a winter set-up for the M2 available from BMW?

The OEM M2 wheels are 9x19 and 10x19 with 245/35/19 and 265/35/19, but what is the offset (ET). Are the M2 wheel size exactly the same as the ones fitted under the M3/M4... Do aftermarket wheels from the M3/M4 fit the M2 also perfectly?

I could also fit winter tyres on the OEM 19 " wheels and fit some other 19" wheels as summer set with the OEM 19" Michelin tyres.

I think they are exactly the same. The 437M.

The OEM wheels have the same offset. However, the M2 has less room. So, the OEM wheels are interchangeable BUT aftermarket wheels (particularly those that are more aggressive in fitment), may or may not fit. Some of the more aggressive fitments on an M4 likely won't work on the M2 with less fender clearance.

For example, my winter set up for my M4 is likely too aggressive for my M2 and I'll have to change the wheels.

The bold part is what I did.
BMW also has an 18" winter setup ready to order.

Interested in 18" fitments for winter setup as well.
Will the 513s fit the M2?

Exactly! What OEM options do we have for 18"? I'll save the 19" for the good half of the year.

BMW offers a flow formed setup. Same wheels as for the M3/4, 640M.
Of course also the forged 18's will work but costs a lot more.

Nokian Hakka R2 is available in 255/35 and that fits fine both front and rear.
Pirelli Winter Sottozero 2 is available in stock dimensions, as are Michelin Alpin, Continental, Bridgestone etc.

I run those on my M4 and they are the best "real" winter tire I have ever owned.

Will the 18s off my friends 335 (2014) fit?

Curious if the 18" wheels from my friends 335i will fit. Standard sport package wheels. How exactly do I find out?

I have a 385 set from three seasons ago from my m135i.

http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw...385_wheel_4893
Front alloy wheels: 18x7.5" ET45
Wheel part number: BMW 36116796212

Rear alloy wheels: 18x8" ET52
Wheel part number: BMW 36116796213

Assume the offset won't fit, plus would need to put bigger rubber on the rears?

So no reuse... really must try hard to sell them!

BMW offers a cast alternative? I never knew that. Pretty interesting. Flow forming is better than pure cast but isn't comparable to a true forged wheel in any way shape or form. At least they are strong enough for OEM certifications. That's pretty awesome

A 17" wheel will NOT clear the brakes. That isn't an accurate screen shot. Some 18" wheels won't clear the brakes by there is no way on earth a 17" wheel would.

Oh its accurate - right off the BMW system.

Correct? Well, that's a different story

and yes, I'm playing games with words - but that is in the BMW system and it will let a dealer order the car with them. I can see it now "your car is here.." and the "wheels are over there"
