DP's and FMIC without a special map ?

Hi,

I got my catless and coated RISS DP's today . Top notch, as expected. Can I use them without a special map ( JB2H and AA Active Processor ) ? It's clear that they will not provide the maximum gains possible, but will the engine run more rich or lean ? To surpress unwanted error codes I will use the BMS sims. Same question for the FMIC, but it's still on the way.

Thank you for feedback.

Ciao,
Eugen

congrats on the DP install...Eugene...Do u feel a significant increase in power with the DP's? Would you think catted Dp's will feel almost the same power increase? Thanks...for i value your opinion!!! Also is there any difference from the install onto yoiur E93...I think you are the first E93 to install them!

The DP's are not catted. They are coated. I am about to arrange the install on the coming weekend. There I will have the JB2H in the car. Next week I will get the AA Active Processor and the AA SLD. The question is, can I use my catless DP's with the JB2H and the AA Active Processor ? Both currently don't offer special versions for DP's. Will my engine run more lean or more rich with the tunings and do I risk to damage something on the car ?

Thanks,
Eugen

You can always try the Procede again especially now that the FOR SALE threads are selling them for bargain prices...Shiv is offering to the Beta testers with a map for DPs and its showing significant gains and the boost peaks looks like its been solved, and I am sure he will make you a beta tester for sure!!

Well from what I understand, the new map is supposed to adjust for any mods you're running. Including a FMIC.

Right. there are no maps in general with the JB2 but for some special reason it reacts very well to mods and throws no codes. When i go dyno next time with my new plugs im pretty sure i will make over 400whp considering i made 390whp with misfires, and for a $500 interceptor i would say that is just awesome when the $1500 competitor is producing lower numbers and track times on average, wouldnt you agree?

I have to agree as far as the price comparison to power output between the two...But thats already a given....Both are great tunes!!

I can't wait to see what your numbers are going to be with your new plugs...

Is that with race gas? Isn't shiv's car making 390 on 91 oct with just DP's and open intake? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Dont compare anything to Shivs car or his dyno, i suspect there is something weird going on over there. No customer of Shivs has hit 400whp on another dynojet on any type of gas. I had a dyno on my V2 procede with catless dp's, fmic, CAI, and full exhaust on 100oct and got 367whp... Did not make me very happy as you can tell

CONSPIRACY!! The run posted yesterday was made with the exact map that was sent to all of our beta guys, on straight 91. The only thing weird going on is how certain people like to compare race gas numbers to pump gas numbers, and then forget to mention that race gas was involved. Or better yet, like to compare to the worst run from one product, to the best run of another. Now, that is weird.

Actually, down4it is comparing race gas to race gas, on his own car, on the same dyno, on 2 different tunes... to be fair

I didn't say anything about down4it. I can't get into it for obvious reasons, but if you would like a further explanation, go ahead an PM me.

His V2 tune at the time was not designed for downpipes. It was designed for V2 + Exhaust only. Therefore his numbers sucked. The JB's work on any setup which is great but it's far from being optimally tuned...

With this new Beta map going around. I'm pretty sure he would make 390 on 91 since he has an FMIC and Shiv's car doesn't...
