Horn on car?
Sounds wrong for every reason but what is the horn like on the 3 series, as mine I am sure was 2 tone and now it isnt and sounds like what I can assume a 3 wheelers horn is like.......
Cheers

Both units have been replaced on my car. Two separate failures! As mentioned, a common fault...

I recommend a full serving at your local - the nice lady on reception can find you someone with the right skills to get you going again. I've had it done already - the difference is night and day...

Yep, mine went single tone after about 12 months of ownership, and totally mute with a couple of weeks of that. Yet another cost cutting BMW decision.
And don't get me started on fuel pumps!!!! |

Does anybody know what is killing the horn sounders. Seems like it is pretty common by the amount of complaints here.
Poor design/faulty manufacture or badly positioned and getting damaged by water/heat? Are they being replaced with the same component or is there a revised unit now for spares/new production? |

I'm guessing it's water.
My nearside horn has given up and I opened up the inner arch liner to have a look and the horn unit and electrical connector area were soaking wet despite it being a warm dry day. |
