330d Extended Warranty

Esteemed and knowledgable chaps...

Has anyone taken extended warranty on 330d and if so who with and what sort of costs involved?

Had a search of forum but can't find a definitive answer. Thanks in advance.

Garage List
It's a variable cost as it depends on your annual mileage, excess and level of cover.
I had it on my 330d E90 and with breakdown it was £41 a month with £100 excess and comprehensive cover.

If your warranty is nearly up then you can get a price off BMW's website.

I just paid £507 for 12 months extension on the warranty for the 325d. Fully comp warranty with a £100 excess, BMW emergency service included.

Currently have 320d but hoping to change soon. The reason I ask is because I'm trying to understand costs. Probably take PCP over 4 years because of lower monthlies, however wanted to understand what the costs would be after manufacturers warranty expires. Currently do about 16000 miles per annum.

You can voluntary terminate after three years by which time the G20 3 series will have been out a year so then get one of those with another three years warranty!

That's what I'm going to do.

My 330D had done ~45K miles when the warranty was extended into the 4th year. Cost was quoted as £620-ish but dealer paid as a gesture of goodwill due to the amount of warranty work that had been required.

When you consider the cost of a fully comprehensive BMW emergency assistance, inc European cover, and the protection against big bills (and no quibble, in my experience) I reckon it's good value.
