Hello peeps from the northwest,

VF Engineering's awesome HEX ecu flash is going to be offered by Achtuning, locally at their Redmond facility. I'm setting everything up with Kelly and, if we get enough quorum, VF Engineering will fly one of their techs over to Achtuning to do an ECU flash event with their software. We're trying to make this happen within the coming 2-3 weeks, sort of a group buy... the more people we get together for this the better. This is way better than having piggy backs or plug n play boxes; oh and no need to send your ECU to a shop or to VF to get it flashed!!!

If you're interested please chime in and I'll work on getting a list ready so that Kelly and the boys at Achtuning can figure out a date that works for us all. If you'd like to get more info from Achtuning themselves, feel free to contact Kelly directly at 425-895-0000 ext.705 or shoot him an email to kelly@achtuning.com

For those of you unfamiliar with the software and how it works or curious about the gains with each stage, check out the Official VF Engineering's post on this forum here:

I wish I could help. Achtuning is like 200yards from where I work. For the money it isn't worth it as I already have the JB4. The HEX has more torque down below and remapping of the perf gauges but not worth the funds. If they make a stage 3 and open up the fueling for Pure S2 quick spool turbos, sure.

I'm interested but curious about the pricing. So 1095 for stage 1...what's the price if we get more than 5 people?

I also have a piggyback already, I dont want to keep unplugging stuff everytime i go for service. Also, the GTS features that you can add plus a tune that actually controls timing, vanos, cold start in addition to boost plus more torque than my piggyback and I'm in
Also, those stated gains are to the wheel...

I'm still going thru the official forum thread for the tune, still learning and asking about pros/cons and reviews.

The more we get there the better, thats something that Kelly and Achtuning will figure out...for now we need quorum and they'll reserve the local just for us for a day with an authorized VF tech to flash ECUs and answer all our questions

How many times have you gone in for service? I have 2 times; 1200 mile, and an issue with SOS. My SA knows what I have. No issues. They leave the ODB2 dongle plugged in.

Yes stated gains are at the wheels and as far as S2 on pump and S2+ on 100octane I have almost exactly (slightly higher) RWHP both in peak and in max gain. Torque however, they have about 70ish more from 2.5-4.5k.

might think about the trans flash. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Well, counting 2 service appointments, another trip to have my intercooler radiator replaced (road debris damage), and another trip to the dealer to re-align front bumper and headlights due to terrible job replacing the damaged radiator...yeah several times already, and I always unplug my module as CYA...

Yeah, I'm still going thru the forums learning more about the tune. For now I'm going with Stage1 and the HEX tuning tool so I can enable and disable features/tune at will.

I plan on touching base with VF on stress tests completed on the engine with the tune on. Mostly concerned about the long term durability since I bought the car. Have you guys seen much on that topic?

Valid concern, best place to ask and check what others are going thru would be here:

From what I heard from Kelly, 5 or more will justify flying someone from VF that day to do the coding and also reserving the place/slots (Achtuning) for us. They probably wont do schedules or anything else that day, only HEX flashes for our cars. Might be worth giving him a call directly.

Just spoke to Kelly and we can get this started with 4 pre-paid for VF to come out, I asked Kelly to jump into this thread so that he can figure out next steps.
