F30 330D Remap from JFA

Hi all.

Just joined this forum. I decided to join the thread to spread the joy on the remap I have had done. I have had my F31 330d for two and half years. When I bought the car it had 18 months left on the warranty which ran out in September 2015. I was happy with the car but wanted to see what a non PPK map would be capable of. In February I contacted JF Automotive in Maidstone and they said that they could map the car for me.

The car has been transformed with around 300bhp (est.) and 476lbs ft. (est) I however think that this is conservative due to encounters with a couple of F30 335d's around the country on my travels + numerous Golf R's, S3's etc.... When it came down to burying the throttle with Sport + I am finding no issues pulling away from any of the above mentioned- also kept pace with a new 911 Carrera recently on the motorway.

If you are ex-warranty on one of these- you must give the remap a go. The encryption can be broken and safely. Have also seen 3-4% increase in MPG to add an extra cherry on the top!

I am thinking of getting the car dyno'd to see what it is running officially- watch this space!

I think your 300hp assumes 260hp as stock. Put it on a dyno and you may be pleasantly surprised... I think a few stock cars were dyno'd at 280hp ish.

Enjoy!

Sounds like a result. If you are going to dyno the car, consider taking it to the same place this forum did a dyno day at. Your numbers will be comparable then.

My 330sD made 268-274bhp on the Dyno in stock spec. The overall gains from the MPPK were modest but useful.

I too had my 640d remapped by Jfa and also find its pretty rapid. I used their dyno when I had mine done though. I'd like to try another dyno like srr to get some more runs to see the difference if anyone fancies another rolling road day?
