Cool 2013 F30 335i xDrive JB4 1/4 mile

Mods are:

ER chargepipe
ER TIC chargepipe
ER 3.5" catless DP
Borla ATAK
Dinan intake
JB4 stage 2 map 5
94 octane


Launched in 2nd gear. Brake boost 2500-3000rpm because 1st gear is useless. (8AT)

I'm very surprised to run this time with stock 19s 403M, total tire and wheel weight was 54lbs each. I can probably hit low 12s if I had lighter wheels. Had continental DWS staggered.

When you say 1st gear is useless... are you having traction issues with xDrive or the car launches harder in 2nd gear?

1st gear is too short, and some traction issues on xDrive, I'd hit redline before I'd be able to shift quick enough.

At the very moment presently, 450HP/500TQ (360AWHP/420AWTQ @ 20%drivetrain loss) @ 16.5psi map6.

I had 12.5-14psi when I did this run, it was in map 5 so it was not consistent. I believe with my current setup now, I could probably hit 12.3 and lower

Thanks for posting your slip. As nice as 1/4 mile times are, I consider the trap-speed a better indication of power as too much can affect the time. 109.32mph is definitely moving! I bet you have 110-112 in you!

Thanks.

I believe I can hit 115mph, lighter wheels and dedicated rubber plays a nice part in it.

I recently shaved off 10lbs per wheel and I'm slipping alot with my all seasons, so with sticky tires, I think F30s are able to hit 115mph on stock turbo.

Yes, I already have lightweight 19s (Renn RS-51, 21lbs front, 20lbs rear) and I'm planning on getting the new Michelin PS4S that's supposed to release next year.

Probably up the tire size to 245F/275R.

We're running the same tires too now (Contis).

I just need to find a day to travel back to the 1/4 mile and hopefully get more than one run. 1/2 mile was fun though.

I swapped my contis for AS3+ and they're only good for track, not drag unfortunately as I had less grip from launching.
