Some Info Needed Before Ordering

Hi guys,

I'm reposting this in the UK forum in the hope somebody is feeling helpful!

I'm looking at buying a new 440i Convertible in the UK and I've read a few threads about idrive 5.0, wifi hotspots, wireless charging and a few other things.

Also BMW have a habit of adding standard equipment left, right and centre. Is there anything on the horizon of being added to the standard options?

I'm in no immediate rush to order, and I imagine the lead time is 12 weeks or so, so I'm happy to wait and hang tight.

Does anyone have any advice? Should I wait or should I order?

If you want the new idrive, that'll apparently be on builds week 27 and later, which is August delivery. If you can wait til then, I would if I were you.

If you order now and include professional nav in your spec you will be in no danger of getting a 2016 model. 2017s are from early July production and BMW appear to have run out of the 2016 nav parts. You'll need to order EBT £400 for the wireless charging.

Is there anything to substantiate the wireless charging being included with EBT? I was planning on ordering it anyway.

Is there anything else worth waiting for?
