Transfering a voucher?

I'm curious...If you received your voucher and are unsure about the car, what happens if you put your deposit down, a person you know offers you $10 grand for your spot?

Is anyone considering this? Or what if you were going to buy the car, and you lost your job and someone offers compensation for your position?

i may be wrong but i do not think vouchers are transferable. I think its best practice to only put down refundable deposits. if it was non refundable and you can not buy i think you're SOL unless the dealer wants to help you by refunding a non refundable deposit. I would think that most people that received vouchers are good enough customers of their dealer to warrant them refunding the deposit whether its refundable or not as they wont have a hard time selling it

Vouchers are non transferable. If the customer declines the voucher. It will go back to BMW NA

Note - if you flip the car, the scheduled maintenance plan DOES NOT transfer to the new owner.

You can't. You have to hold onto the car for a period of time.

That was the way for me for my ED with BMW Canada last year, signed a contract to not resell the car for one year.

From what I have been told, you sign an agreement to not sell the vehicle for at least a year upon delivery.

There were porsche dealers who tried to pull that off - it's definitely not a corporate thing. Dealers want to mark up the car and make the profit - not you. Get a lawyer.

Yeah, that makes no sense. They cannot force you to keep a car.

Wow, they made you sign a contract just for EDing a F80 M3?!?!? That seems a bit excessive.

I went on an all expenses paid trip (save my flights) with BMW Canada, so it wasn't your typical "here's your new BMW, have a nice day" at The Welt.

Hmm, do we know if BMWUSA is re-allocating some expired vouchers?

I missed the boat in submitting my car resume (and have owned numerous M's in the past, including two E92 M3's).
