Service with more than 1K to go?

I think I'm right in saying that 1K miles remaining is the earliest you can service your car with the service inclusive. My car is showing 2K miles to go but with a possible european holiday trip in July I'll go over the 2K before I'm back. I reckon that there will be about 1.5k miles remaining when I'd be leaving, so to get the best value from the service pack I'd want it serviced as soon as possible, and I'd like it serviced before the long trip anyway.
Has anyone been able to get their car serviced with more than 1K to go?, or given that the round trip would take it over do you think a dealer would service the car with this in mind?

Had my 1st service with 1,800 showing to go. Drop by a dealer and talk to service, they'll pop your key in the reader and advise the soonest it can be done based on how the cars been driven.

If it's yellow, then you could take it in and they'll do your service.

If not, just take it in and tell them you're about to go on a long trip that will rack up quite a few hundred miles and you want to do the service now so you don't have to do it later.

How did you manage that? Was there any particular reason you had it serviced so early?

Was in a similar position to you, didn't know when was the earliest it could be done. Also wanted to get the 3rd service done under the service pack so the sooner the better Popped in to the local garage, service read the key and said we can book it in when ever i wanted.

If you are on service pack they will take the car in no problem if there is less than 1k to go to the actual cut off.
Outside that as said msot dealers where fine to strech if you advise of long journey etc, that has been my experience.

I am booked in for this Saturday, with currently 900 miles to go...
The dealer told me that BMW would not approve it unless it was <1000 mile to service, I did try to get it in early for the obvious 3rd service reasons...

What about ones that have a date and mileage? For example mine says service due 6/2016 or in 6000 miles(oil)

I booked an apt online at the dealer, but don't want to drive out there and they say I have to wait til I hit the mileage mark.

I purchased a new 2014 in February

Had mine done at 1600 by one dealer as my local one wouldn't touch it until <1000!
