Really? Cause mine has the new high flow intake(currently under developement), the racing exhaust, high performance intercooler and more!
It also has dinan "packages" -s-335, S1-335 and S-2335.
Not sure how it's the "same shit" as 330 since it doesn't even have ONE part for the 330 in this catalog... jagazz!

RACING MIDDLE EXHAUST: under development second set of cats are gone and it gets a high flow x pipe. they say that the front cats are still in place so it can pass SCCA showroom stock emissions test and so the engine wont throw the check engine light.(probably the infamous 02 sensor check engine light front the cats)

HIGH PERFORMANCE INTERCOOLER: under development 93% increase in total volume, comes with larger connecting tubes and is a direct replacement with minor modification.

PERFORMANCE ENGINE SOFTWARE: flash- old news

Naturally I was curious about the IC, so I called and spoke with Phillip. I was told that the IC will also come with an accompanying ECU flash that will only be availiable to those who purchase the IC. The flash and IC should allow boost to stay higher, longer, and without potential damages. Apparently the new flash and IC will put approx. 15-30 HP and TQ more than the current ECU flash to the wheels.

I was told the the flash, IC, and shroud would retail for approx. $2,000 (total) and "should hit the market in about 30 days".

Sign me up!!!

Don't get me wrong I WANT this to be true. But how can they charge the same price for the IC and flash that they used to charge for the flash alone? Would those wishing to upgrade get the IC for free?

I think what that means is the $2000 will be for the people that already have the existing flash and the people that don't have the flash will have to pay $4000 for the package.

As I understood the $2k is for a package...IC, shroud, and new ECU flash. Supposedly none of these components are available for purchase separately, regardless of what you already have. IE, if you already have the current ECU flash you will pay $2k for the IC and new flash. If you dont have the current ECU flash it will be $2k (total) for the IC and new flash.

So no, it seems as if there is nothing "free", rather, less to spend if you haven't already purchased the current flash.

That doesn't seem right. That would mean existing flash customers would have to shell out another $2000 for the upgrade for a total of $4000 while new customers get everything for $2000? That would be bad buisness practice. You might want to call Dinan again and clarify.

Wicked, those were my initial impressions too. I believe that I asked specifically enough to ascertain that the situation I described was in fact the case. As far as I'm concerned this is merely speculation at this point. I'll call again when they open on Monday.

Dinan has already stated that flashes are upgradeable for the difference in price!

Thats what I heard as well but if the upgrade is $2000 as mentioned in previous post and the original flash is $2000 the difference is $0. Does that mean that existing flash customers get a intercooler and flash upgrade for free? I seriously doubt it. I will give them a call next week and see what I can find out.

It's probably not the same flash, it's soley a flash to let the boost stay up higher due to the FMIC.

My guess is it's a FMIC flash, not the Perforamce Enginer Software, and probably adds said HP on top of the current flash HP.

I want to see the intake, HOPEFULLY it's > $1000

I'm not sure how anyone can see anything as "free" based on the way I have attempted to explain it. Again, as I understood, the IC package (IC, shroud, and flash) is $2k regardless of what you currently have. I will call again next week to confirm.

We would all would love it if you were right. I can't see Dinan making only a few hundred on the flash however they are not know for being cheap. Please let us know in any case.

That what i was told a few weeks ago as well but price was not set. This is typical what they do for siumlar product lines so there is a history.
