Just got a used 328i. The car has comfort access and when the car is locked and unlocked by touching the CA sensors, the seat and mirrors stay in place as I left it but when I use the fob to lock and unlock the car, the seat moves to a position that I did not set in any memory button. I would think that the fob would remember the position of the seat when I locked the car but it does not. It probably remembers the former owners settings

Would you know how to erase that so that it remembers my memory positions

Set your seat and mirror positions.

Press the Memory (top one) button - A red led in the button lights up. You do not hold the Memory button once the light is on.

Press the desired memory number (1 or 2). The red led should go out. Your seat position should now be memorized.

If you want the seat to move into position automatically (either when you unlock or open the door) based on a certain key FOB you must enable the that option in the settings menu of IDrive or using the Turn Signal stalk menu buttons.

You can also modify the fob settings through iDrive in Settings, but am unsure how flexible the options are off the top of my head.

I reset all the profiles on I drive and so far, it's doing what's it's supposed to do
