Flash tune for cold start

Hi all
Has anyone done a flash tune to eliminate cold start
Not exactly sure what's involved, how effective it is, costs, how long it takes, how easy it is to revert back to original set up for service, warranty etc
Any info greatly appreciated

Cold start is the only thing that I don't like about my m3. I'm sure I'm not the only one
Cheers

Do you run pod filters too? Seems with the pods the car gets way too much air and goes into hunt mode whilst it adjusts... Mine sounds like a race car starting up.. Uber cool until neighbours sending me dirty notes.. Thank gawd other neighbour picked up a Maserati so I'm no longer the only one in the morning with a loud cold start

Reviving this thread to see what others have done regarding the cold start procedure. It sounds awesome when done during reasonable hours, but when I leave for work sometimes at 5am, I'm "that guy" in the neighbourhood.

I know the tunes eliminate it but it seems a bit silly to have to go aftermarket to find a solution (although a few extra ponies out of the engine is a nice addition to reducing the start noise). I mean, even the Ford Mustang has a quiet start mode for these sorts of situations.

Dude it has to be aftermarket. Coldstart heats up the cats quicker for better emissions etc , it makes the engine run abnormally during idle to achieve that.
If you do get it my tuner said you should still warm up your cats or you risk damaging the cats( dont just start the car 5am and drive straight off etc).
