Amazon Music App Issue

Hey all...is anyone experiencing connection issues with the Amazon Music app? Previously, I would plug my iPhone in the the USB connector, launch the app, and the BMW/Amazon connect symbol would show up on the phone's screen. I just upgraded my phone from a iPhone 6 to a 6plus...same OS and all all up to date. Now, when I connect, the connection screen doesn't come up and I can't access all of the drive control features of the app.

Anyone seeing this?

Working here.

I usually use the snap-in adapter and the BMW Connected app to launch Amazon Music. Although you can certainly do it without the app.

Hmmmm...... I'm not getting any of the apps now to connect. Wonder if it's a setting since I changed my phone to a 6s?

Try updating your iDrive software.

I was having the same problem on my iPhone 5. Now with the update, its all fine. Amazon shows up on my screen and I don't have to connect my phone to the USB port anymore. Very cool.

The only problem I have now is the album art does not update from song to song. I can live with that.

BTW, Amazon music quality is outstanding. For those who are already paying for Amazon Prime, this is a no brainer to have for free in your car.

Edit: Updating iDrive software is straightfoward. Go to the BMW website on your computer and find the iDrive update. You will need the last 7 digits of your VIN. Then download to a thumb drive. Take the thumb drive to your car and insert in your USB port in your armrest. Go to Settings on your screen and scroll down to Software Update. Follow the instructions. Easy.
