Reflectors on the rear bumper...

So what is everyone gonna do with them? I recently saw painted ones on this pic on IND instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/BE-EubIQ...en-by=indstyle

I think its a clean look that would likely look even better on bsm or mg, but I recall some early photoshops that removed them entirely so they looked like vents.

I really liked it, but can anyone tell us what it looks like behind the reflectors?

I had my the front end of my car clear wrapped and had the front reflectors wrapped black at the same time. The guys at the shop told me that it was ok to wrap the front reflectors but if you wrap the red rear ones the cops will ticket you for it. I don't know if there is any truth to it, but I decided to leave it as is.

I don't see how as there are cars here without rear reflectors from the factory.

To my knowledge late model cars registered in the US have reflectors on the side and rear. If they are not visible then they are incoporated in the light housing.

We offer Acexxon rear reflector inserts that look similar to vents. Of course we also sell our painted OEM rear reflectors.

Here is a DIY on how to install them, you can see what is behind the reflector once taken out at the 2 min and 30 sec mark.

Am I crazy for actually liking the reflectors? I think they make a nice contrast and look pretty cool. Maybe it's just me.

I wrapped mine with CF vinyl
http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1489020

If you just remove the reflectors you'll see 3 holes where the they clip in. The rest is still bumper. Even if you decide to cut it out I don't think you'll get any gains from drag since that area is covered by the wheel well guard and also the plastic panel below.

Mine are wrapped in semi transparent vinyl, so they look dark most of the time, but if light shines on them they shine back red. From and function!
