Nice work, wonder how much Ram-Air effect you'll get?

That was fast!
Wow, you worked that out really fast. How long did it take you because at 6:00 last night it was still an idea. Let me know how it works for you and if you wanna make some extra in black.

not just for looks but the longer bolt could causes turbulance in the airstream which might not be ideal so do cut the bolt.

I am no expert by any mean, just my brain cell talking. You should talk to an aerodynamic expert if you think my point is valid for verification. But yeah, it would looks much cleaner with shorter bolt as you said. Carry on forward

Cool idea... this is a nice alternative to the scoops that were being offered for $300. I look forward to seeing the DIY.

i drilled 4 holes on each side on this rubber my fingers are pointing at, you need to un-screw 4 hex screws that are holding the bumper and pull that rubber out, 2 holes on the outside can be drilled from the under with the kidney grill removed, but 2 holes on the inside need to be drilled from the top, need to push that rubber down a little and that corner will pop out, sorry for the pic quality
