Guys, this will be at MSRP, no ED, no PCD. They should be able to modify the build. They might get the allocation tomorrow, might be in a few months. $1k deposit will be needed, MSRP will be in writing. I think they just want the car in the showroom for a week or two to draw in customers which seems reasonable.

Good luck to whoever gets this. I had this #1 customer allocation from them a while back and let it go because I felt it might go into the summer before they had it. Love the M2s but didn't want to wait anymore. Hea customers lucked out, everyone else not so much as of yet...

And then I had your spot and found a launch car so then the OP got the first spot and now....another forum member shortly. These guys can't sell their first spot.

I'm so happy I didn't wait, they said April build but it's almost May...

Haha I know right. To be fair though I think these guys are like the majority of the rest of the dealerships across the country- bmw has kept them in the dark. I could be wrong but I think the bulk of the next batch of M2s will be this summer and with a MY2017 designation.
My M3 is at detailers domain right now getting xpel, tints and a few other goodies so no looking back for me at this point

I don't think they need to have the car in their showroom to attract customers lol.

I got their HEA car. Don't try to negotiate, I promise you they won't move from MSRP.

When he first started checking out the M2 about 6 months ago I told him he should get in line *right now * and probably could snag one. I also said " this car is a steal of a deal at full MSRP".

For 2 months he " wasn't interested " and " didn't understand the fuss about the M2 " and " would maybe pick one up a year from now, for 5k off just for grins because it would be available". Plus there are so many hot cars on the market..

For 3 months the F8x M3 he owns was " way better" and no way he would get an M2 because it's " cheap ... not a real M car, doesn't have M4 seats, Interior, mirrors or CF roof blah blah. "

We then went to a local autocross, where I placed ahead of all e90 and F8x challengers in my 1M, as well as he in his Porsche GT3, and I made some comments about " light and nimble" and "short wheelbase " and MORE FUN TO DRIVE that he spurned.

In the past 2 months however, the M2 has been " on the list of cars he might like, even though it's hideous and looks like a cheap rental car in white .."

And in the last week he posted that his 16 WRX is now on the chopping block and he's narrowed his options to two cars that are selling for over list, the M2 *and * the Focus RS...

So , As you can see he's kicking and screaming his way to an M2... And probably at full MSRP

If he had actually gotten in line back then, he would probably be driving an LBB 6 speed right now

I still say "he's not worthy" of an M2... Well.. Until he fully recants with an "M3 owner goes M2 !!- realizes that BMW has made the M3 info a family car ! " post that makes the front page of bimmerpost

He could be the first M3 owner to watch the M2 exceed the value of his M3 ...

You're a bit dramatic but I still say I'd rather have a M4 if it was the same price. I hope the F8x value comes down to 51k I'll buy a 2 door variant to add to my M3. I don't see that happening anytime soon so I'll settle for a M2

Too bad you're "settling" for a car plenty of other people want and pine over. So tragic for you.

Just perspective. I'm sure some guys settle for a 488 if they can't get a f12 tdf. I don't worry about what other people buy/drive and neither should you.
