Implies rich retired people would want a M2 seems the target market is more like males 25-40 demographically speaking. No idea what the rich and famous drive but being rich and famous doesn't necessarily equate to being price stupid.

BMW strategy appears to be constrained volume, lot's of hype and cowboy pricing by dealers.

While I agree, you have to consider that many of these are parents and would buy their kid an M2 if they asked, which puts it in line with the demographics.

Also, plenty of people with money choose to stop working and move to a base city like Palm Springs long before they are at the traditional retirement age.
